If EnviroleenTM provides such a huge benefit to fuel, why are the oil companies not doing it themselves?
Of course, we can’t know the motivations of any of the large oil companies, but we have heard a range of theories. Some believe the oil industry does not need to increase fuel efficiency because it would decrease consumption rates of their product. Others have noted that even a small additional cost in the refinery processes, when applied over the huge oil infrastructure, would add up to billions of dollars of additional cost. We just know that, while it is in many ways a simple product, it was not just stumbled upon one day. This product results from years of research, the contributions of a range of scientists, and has required years of testing to get the best recipe and blending technique.
