If Enagic® is the gold standard, why do some comparison sites say other machines have a higher ORP?
Most comparison sites are trying to sell cheaper brands from Korea and Taiwan. By restricting the flow of water through a cheap ionizer it is possible to boost the ORP for a brief period of time. The flow rate on Enagic’s SD 501 is approximately 2 to 3 times greater and it will maintain the same ORP levels significantly longer. In addition, most tests are done on new machines fresh out of the box. Cheap machines perform their best when they’re brand new. Enagic’s water processors will continue to produce consistently high ORP levels in hard water areas for many years. ORP stands for oxidation reduction potential. An ORP meter measures the antioxidant value of water. The more negative the ORP number, the greater the antioxidant value. The more positive the ORP number, the more oxidizing the water is.
