If e-tickets are so much more cheaper, why then do people still use travel agents?
E-tickets are not inherently cheaper than paper tickets and the Internet is not always cheaper than going through a travel agent. (If your came up with a high fare, then maybe you need a new travel agent.) The difference is that airlines charge extra fees to process paper tickets when they issue paper tickets at all. Most don’t or do so only in rare circumstances. Travel agents issue e-tickets, just like the airlines and third-party websites. The difference is that travel agents often have a service fee (at least here in the US) because they have to pay staff to take your request, provide advice, and complete the reservation. E-tickets work just like the old paper tickets. There is no difference except that you don’t have any paper flight coupons to lose or forget at home. Don’t worry about it. Why do people go to travel agents? The Internet works fine for simpler trips and for people who are sufficiently knowledgeable about travel to plan their own vacations.
