If Duke Energy constructs a 618-MW IGCC plant at Edwardsport, how much coal will be used on an annual basis; will this require the opening of a new mine in the Illinois Basin?

The plant should use between 1.7 and 1.9 million tons of coal per year. It is not known if a new mine will be required; however, the volumes are large enough to possibly warrant a new mine.
