If Coach Vachon came to my practice, what would he do?
It is up to you. Some coaches have asked Coach Vachon to come to a practice first, get to know the kids and the coaching philosophy, and then asked him to run the next practice with specific goals / focuses in mind. Other coaches have asked Coach Vachon to come and run specific drills that he used when he was coaching. He has also been asked to ‘jump in’ and help out the coach whenever possible. Still other coaches have asked Coach Vachon to simply come and talk with the team on a specific topic that the team may be struggling with at a point in the season. The most important thing is for the Coach of the team to talk with Coach Vcahon before hand so both are aware of what the goals are in having Coach Vachon come to your practice.
