We obviously believe that the Bible is given to us without error, but we seldom stop to ask ourselves, “Without error with respect to what exactly?” If we allow the biblical authors to draw from their own incorrect views of the cosmos, then how can we be certain that they are truly speaking God’s thoughts on spiritual matters?
