If Christ was resurrected and had a body when he was resurrected, where is the body now?
His body is with Him. His body is the same body it was (people didn’t recognize Him because they were temporarily prevented from seeing that, not because he was physically a different person), but it has no power over him, so he can even have a physical body and be in spirit. He made a big point of making sure that people knew that He was both entirely flesh and entirely spirit after he was resurrected, and it makes no sense to assume that after He did that, he changed that. Just because it’s a difficult concept to grasp that a person that a person can have a physical body and not be bound by natural law, it doesn’t mean it can’t or didn’t happen.
Pugwash is correct in quoting 1 Corinthians about the corruption of flesh and blood, but remember that Jesus was different to us. Our flesh and blood is only corrupt because of sin and the sinful nature. Because Jesus did not have a human father, he did not inherit the sinful nature of man, and the bible records that he was tempted in every way, yet without sin. Therefore, without sin, his flesh is incorruptible. There was no corruption in Jesus to disqualify him. If we were without sin, our flesh would be incorruptible. Look to Adam and Eve. There was no sickness, disease, decay or death until after the fall. When Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection, they record that he still had the piercings in his body from the crucifixion. So unless God was going to give him a new body full of holes, I’d say that it was the same body. Since the disciples record seeing Jesus physically ascending into heaven, and judging by teachings that he is now at the right hand of God and eve
His spiritual body is in heaven. (2Cor 5:16) Consequently from now on we know no man according to the flesh. Even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, certainly we now know him so no more (John 6:51) I am the living bread that came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread he will live forever; and, for a fact, the bread that I shall give is my flesh in behalf of the life of the world.” If he still had a fleshly body, Hebrews 5:7 would not be talking in past tense about in the days of his flesh and 2Cor 5:16 would not talk about us no longer knowing him in the flesh. Now that Jesus has been resurrected to the glorious body that he had before, no one can see him.(1Tim 6:16) Just a glimpse of his unapproachable light caused Paul temporary blindness.(Acts 9:1-18) He sacrificed his fleshly body.(John 6:51; Heb10:10;) He did not have a fleshly body before being sent to the earth (John 1:14; Heb 10:5) and when once glorified as he was before he again would be a spirit like Go
