If carrier coverage can be determined by going to the Internet, why would anyone need an Intermec WWAN Coverage Survey?
Internet-based maps are based on data which may not be from actual experience, or may only be extrapolated from nearby points at which actual data was gathered. This data may also be slightly out of date, and does not take into consideration the time of day or other conditions that a real-time survey would include. This data also does not include the details of signal strength, throughput, latency and roundtrip. It also does not consider the actual conditions under which connection and transmission will take place.
