If Bald Eagles had become extinct, which animal should become the national symbol for America?
Our founding fathers wished it to be a turkey, check this out… I wish the bald eagle had not been chosen as the representative of our country; he is a bird of bad moral character; like those among men who live by sharking and robbing, he is generally poor, and often very lousy. The turkey is a much more respectable. – Benjamin Franklin, 1706 – 1790 FYI: However since the monitoring of pesticides and herbicides(DDT), the birds eggs are healthier and making a true comeback…..just like the USA is trying to do…so think of it in that light.
