If Appalachian has recently conducted a background check on a candidate, is another required for a new assignment?
In order to determine if a “current check” is on file, the candidate must submit a background check disclosure form (so we know if we have a check on file for the same person). If a check has been conducted in the last six months, that check may be used for additional or subsequent jobs, the HRS Employment designee will notify the hiring department of the results.
