If an RSO from one site accepts a similar position at another licensed site, will the CNSC need to recertify the RSO?
A10. Yes. Organizations are unique and differ in their policies and procedures, facility design and management infrastructure, just to name a few elements. The RSO must be familiar with all aspects of the licensee’s operations within the Class II nuclear facility or service provider organization. Certification is specific to a Class II nuclear facility or service provider, therefore not transportable.
