Under State law (FN8), the OPEGA director may, by written memorandum to the file, provide that an individual’s identity will remain confidential if information supplied by the individual is needed for an OPEGA review. This written memorandum protects the identity of the person from disclosure notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary.
