If an employee is taking a prescription medication, will they test positive on a drug test?

Given the hundreds of brand name and generic drugs being prescribed today, the only way to know if the medication will test positive is to identify the general classification and pharmacology of that medication to determine which catagory of drug it belongs to, ie: opiates, amphetamine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, barbiturates etc. For general information on presciption drugs, you can go online to The Internet Drug List and enter the name to find it’s classification.
