If an Asian restaurant mainly hires people who are Asian, or everybody working at a Mexican restaurant is Mexican, is that OK?
It depends on why. An ethnic restaurant has to follow the Human Rights Act like every other employer, and can’t discriminate based on national origin. But there could be other reasons why the employees of any business aren’t as diverse as they might be. What should somebody do if they think they didn’t get hired, or they got fired or something else happened, because of their gender or their race or one of the other things covered by the Human Rights Act?
