If an appeal is granted, does the student still need to fulfill the requirements of an Educational Proficiency Plan (EPP)?
A. Yes. Since all students who do not earn a scaled score of at least 240 on the grade 10 English Language Arts and/or Mathematics tests are required to have an EPP developed for them, students who have appeals submitted on their behalf should already be in the process of fulfilling their EPP. They should continue to work on meeting the requirements of their EPP even after an MCAS appeal is granted.
