Yes. The Access Board’s standards for EIT became effective February 20, 2001 and apply to EIT that is developed, procured, maintained or used by the Federal government, whether conducted in house or through a commercial provider. However, the enforcement provisions, which became effective on June 21, 2001, apply only to EIT products they are procured. H.7.
