If additional insured or coverages are added to the policy, must the insurance producer and insured sign a new written disclosure?
When a fee is charged to the insured, either at the time the policy was originally bought or at the time an insured or coverage is added, the insurance producer must make written disclosure of any fees and commissions, if any. No written disclosure is required when no fee was ever charged to the insured and no fees are charged for additional insureds or coverages subsequently added to the policy. See RCW 48.17.270(4) and WAC 284-30-750.
