C-IV For C-IV, on-line transaction response time is measured beginning at the point an interrupt key (e.g., enter key, function key, mouse button) is depressed and ending when the next window or screen completely appears on the monitor. This includes data access, processing and network time. Within the C-IV network or intranet, 90% of standard on-line transactions must complete within 2 seconds and the remaining 10% must complete within 30 seconds. The Consortium may allow exceptions to the standard transaction response times, but 90% of any exceptions must complete within 10 seconds and the remainder must complete within 45 seconds.
