If a wndow screen was the original idea, how did the product end up as a perforated plate?

Discussions with friends and relatives about the sturdiness of a flexible plastic screen and the alternate cost of a window screen type frame to surround the screen led to a re-evaluation of the product. The second eureka moment came in front of the computer. I saw the computer speakers with its perforated holes which led us to think about using a rigid perforated plate with tiny holes. After obtaining a metal plate sample with the largest open hole area possible with the smallest hole size for a standard perforation, we went back to the shower to test out the theory. Lo and behold, it worked like the screen! But a surprise the perforated plate had to be slanted upward (in the opposite direction compared to the screen) to direct the droplets in the desired direction! Further analysis of this phenomenon led to a second patent application.
