If a student is in ALP Language Arts in middle school, how will this affect his/her English placement in high school?

It has no direct affect on the student because the high school uses its own criteria for placement in above level English. A typical ALP English student would take English 113/123 in ninth grade followed by Honors English 213/223 in tenth grade and then select honors and AP English courses of their choosing in 11th and 12th grade.
