If a student is having difficulty with his/her writing skills, what resources are available?

0

A major resource for students who are having difficulty with their writing skills is the Stone Writing Center. The Center offers free tutoring, both in-person and online, as well as workshops, computers for typing papers, and helpful handouts. For in-person tutoring, a student schedules an appointment to meet one-on-one for half an hour with a professional tutor. For online tutoring, the student submits a paper or question to the online tutor at tutor@delmar.edu and receives a response within 24-48 hours. Also, workshops are conducted throughout the semester, and computers and handouts are available on a walk-in basis in the Stone Writing Center. For more information about all the services and resources that the Stone Writing Center offers students, call 698-1364 or click on http://www.delmar.edu/engl/wrtctr.
