Absolutely. The majority of student organizations are open to ALL students. Interested students are invited to attend meetings as well as organized events on campus. For instance, the current president of the Dartmouth China Society is non-chinese. Organizations like the Gay Straight Alliance and the Men’s Project also provide excellent ways for students to learn more about LGBT and gender issues. There are also several groups on campus that work to build coalitions between different subcommunities at Dartmouth. This includes that Diversity Peer Program, Intercommunity Council, and Mosaic. Learning more about another person‚ perspective or background can be a powerful experience that enriches the entire Dartmouth community.
