If a resident district and a JVS each have a student record, how does the correct EMIS data get reported?

Since both districts have a complete record for the same student (identified by his SSID and his EMIS ID), each district reports the records they are required to report for the student. In the event that the resident district reports the student to be attending 70% of the time and the JVS reports the student to be attending 50% of the time, each district would receive an error notification from ODE. Then the two districts discuss the correct reporting times, update their records and resubmit the data correctly. The error is resolved quickly and easily. DASL also has a ‘share’ screen that when implemented between districts, allows a JVS and/or a resident district to view students they share, and to check their EMIS data to see if updates are required prior to reporting.
