If a program receives an adverse decision or a sanction from the Council when is that information made public?

Adverse actions and sanctions may be imposed by the Council for noncompliance with the Standards. Public notice of an adverse decision is not made until the decision has become final, either due to the expiration of the time period for an appeal of the decision or to the conclusion of the appeal process, unless the Council determines there is a compelling reason for immediate disclosure. The only adverse decisions of the Council, which may be made public, are a sanction of Probation and denial of accreditation. A Sanction of Notice is confidential.
