If a program does not dispense medication, how should nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) be handled?
OASAS believes that counseling and appropriate nicotine replacement therapy/pharmacotherapy are appropriate with assisting individuals with their smoking cessation. In this case, it would be suggested to have all staff familiar with pharmacotherapy and NRT.
