The system returns to the programmed state (configuration) it was in before power was lost. For example, if the system is playing a music source and you lose power, it will return to play that music source when the power is restored. However, if the volume had been manually adjusted, the system would not remember that volume change. It would return to the programmed level and would have to be manually adjusted again.
