If a poem has been updated or edited after it was read by PoetrySoup, will it be read again?
• If a poem was read, it will NOT be read a second time until after a contest has been completed. Then, PoetrySoup marks all poems as “unread”. If you edit or make changes to a poem before a contest deadline, it is best to delete the old poem and resubmit the edited version. • Are featured poems what PoetrySoup considers the best poems? Not Always. Many times poems are featured because PoetrySoup considers them different or timely poems. Sometimes poems are featured for more ambiguous reasons, or, because it’s Premium Member week. Sometimes we feature active poets to encourage them. Is PoetrySoup associated with Poetry.com? Absolutely Not! We are in no way associated with Poetry.com or any other poetry web sites. We are an island unto ourselves.
