The county clerk shall record the license. However, the law states that if the marriage ceremony takes place during the 72 hour period immediately following the issuance of the marriage license, the court can grant an annulment to a party to the marriage. A suit may not be brought under this Section more than thirty days after the date of the marriage. [FC ยง6.
