As church planting is a long term commitment and church planters should only go when there is a viable entry vehicle which will sustain them financially. A church planter is also encouraged to have a saving equivalent to 6 months of living expenses in the city for church planting. Only under special situations (rather than a norm) would the church be assisting by providing partial financial support. E.g. loss of job or health problems which cause our church planter not able to work to support himself.
