If a device only logs data by recording data values and time intervals and it is inactive over the century date then it will be OK post year 2000. What if it is active over the century date?

The interval recorded between data values read either side of the year 2000 boundary may be calculated wrongly, resulting in 100 years or some other nonsensical number. This is a one-off problem, and can be corrected for by uploading the data and manually changing the value in a logged data file.
