Weve only heard of this scenario happening ONCE. To remedy the situation as quickly as possible one would need to do the following: 1) Get a mailing address in any one of the states that can issue the proper T.I.N. This can be done by simply going to a local library and finding a phone book there which will have mail receiving firms out of state. Since this address will NOT be used on a credit file it may be a Mail Boxes Etc address. Many times you can get this address right over the phone in a manner of minutes if one pays for the box rental with a credit card. 2) Then the consumer would need to apply for a new T.I.N. to the service center in this state. The only way to get a new T.I.N. is when the form of a business structure changes. For example, if a consumer obtained a T.I.N. for a sole proprietorship and then decided to change it to a partnership, they would have to apply for a new T.I.N.. If one was in a hurry this new T.I.N. could be issued right over the phone. Once the consum
