A reissued certificate should be as consistent with the original as possible. The re-issued qualification should make it clear it is a duplicate of a formerly issued qualification. The duplicate should not claim to be AQF if the original was issued prior to its existence. This would be misleading. A qualification could only be issued under the AQF if the person was re-assessed in accordance with the AQF requirements. The RTO may consider adding a note to the re-issued document, e.g. “Original parchment issued 15 March 2000. This Duplicate copy issued 1 July 2008”.
