If it’s producing large quantities of proteins, it’s likely making them for export out of the cell. In this case, they’ll need to be kept together within a membrane or within a membrane-bound vesicle. Unless they’re being released only into the extracellular fluid. I don’t think this is common in humans, but I believe it is in single-celled creatures that often need to excrete material to digest or communicate with other organisms. There are various areas that produce proteins and put them into vessicles. Only the rough ER seems appropriate for this, however, as it can grow or shrink quite easily for this and is largely devoted to the production of proteins. The cell membrane is not a good candidate because I don’t think it’s likely to grow or shrink much based on the required production of proteins. There are ribosomes (not an organelle so they aren’t it either) in the cytoplasm, but I do not believe the cytoplasm is considered an organelle, either. If this is a short answer question,
