I have a baby and a dog who are both into everything. I need ideas for nice tree decorations that are non-glass, non-pointy, non-sharp, non-swallowable, non-enticing-for-dog (e.g. not made of food), and as non-breakable as possible. We already have an LED-lighted tree, so at least I don’t have to worry about bulbs. Looking for either store-bought – or – I can sew and do most crafts, so I’m willing to make them as well. A: felt shapes, don’t use glue because pieces can be sucked off, I suggest cutting out the shapes you want in appropriate colours, stuff them if you like, embellish by sewing felt or fabric pretties on with strong thread. I also suggest keeping them up a little higher. Also make strings of yoyo’s. They are a circle of fabric, sew a running stitch around the edge of the circle, pull it up into a little puffy thing, you can stuff them and sew a button over the small opening where the gathers meet, with very strong thread. make many of them in many bright an shiny fabrics,
