There are two answers to that question: RBC Avion® cardholders can purchase additional points to use towards an air travel reward. You must already have at least half of the required points for your desired zone booking (see the Avion Air Travel Redemption Schedule) in order to purchase additional points. The minimum amount of points to purchase is 1,000 and points may be purchased in increments of 1,000 each to a maximum of 15,000. Every 1,000 points costs $40 plus GST charged to your RBC Avion account. Terms and Conditions. If you carry another RBC Visa card that earns RBC Rewards points, you can use points plus cash. 100 RBC Rewards points can be redeemed for $1 CDN towards the cost of your travel. There is no minimum point value needed to redeem, and the remaining balance can be paid with your RBC Visa card.
