Id like to submit a video clip so CMC can play it. What are the requirements?
We’re happy to consider videos for airplay from any country artist. The main requirement is a copy of the clip on DIGITAL BETACAM with the aspect ratio 16:9. Be sure to clearly label the tape with song title, artist, duration & aspect ratio and some other basic information, like the album title, even if it’s not due to be released for a while. This allows us to put some information on the “3rd line”. For new artists we also need a signed release to be sent in with the tape, this gives us permission to play your clip on CMC, please download this form and send it to the address below. The main thing we consider is, “How well does the clip sit in a mix of quality Aussie & Nashville Country”. CMC sits next to Channel [V], Max and several other music channels & we need to maintain a standard of quality. The better the clip the more it is likely to be played. For independent acts, it is now possible to make a decent quality clip for less than $5000. We look for good lighting & colour grading
