Id like to remove the valence from my retractable awning for the winter months. Can you tell me how to do that?
The valence on your retractable awning is more exposed to the weather than the rest of your awning and can ‘wear’ more so we recommend that you remove it for the winter months. The end cap on the front bar from which the valance hangs, is easily removed. Once you have done this, you can pull the valance out of the track. Put the spline that holds the valance in place back in the track and replace the end cap. Roll the valance up to avoid creases from folding and store away in a safe, dry area until you are ready to use your awning again.
