BLAST has a user account for customers. It is located on our Unix system called Blaster. The phone number for Blaster is: (919) 542-0939. The login is “reliable;” the password is “fast-transfer.” Set your system type to Unix; your communications parameters to 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity; emulation to VT100; and the file transfer protocol to BLAST. The initial directory is /usr/customer, which contains a subdirectory of scripts for customers. Please remember to type blast -h to start file transfer on Blaster, and then enter file transfer mode on your local system. • What other sources of information are available?
