The Direct Readout Laboratory routinely executes the SLS client on local machines to monitor IPOPP executing on our remote servers. Copy the ~/drl/nsls/ subdirectory from your IPOPP installation to the local machine. On the remote machine, be sure that port 3500 is open to the local machine, and start the SLS Client: ~/nsls/bin/nsls-console.sh. When the SLS Client Display appears, edit the hostname in the “NSLS Server Selection” Window, to be that of your remote machine and click on “Select”. The SLS Client should now display messages generated on the remote machine.
