First off, you should NEVER pay an agent to find you work anywhere; they are paid by the school and not the teacher. Greece is a great place to teach (I’ve taught there for several years myself). In general you’ll need a degree and a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate to get a visa and work. The TEFL certificate can be taken either in-house at a local school for 4 weeks or online at your own pace. The school year starts in September which is when you should come over if you don’t have work yet. Or adverts start appearing online around that time.
