All students planning to register for a composition course here at Bucks must take the Writing Placement Test. However, if you have taken the prerequisite of the composition course for which you want to register at another institution and you received a “C” of better in that course, you are not required to take the Writing Placement Test. You can register for your composition course by providing a copy of your transcript when you register. An official or unofficial transcript showing a grade of “C” or better on prerequisite courses will also suffice or a grade report showing that you have received a “C” or better (some institutions even provide this service on the Web). If you provide the BCCC Registration Office with any of the documents above, you do not need to take the BCCC placement test. If you have questions, please call the Department of Language and Literature at 215-968-8150.
