I would like to send a cake overseas to a loved one in the military in Iraq or Afghanistan to an APO/FPO address, can it be done and will the cake be good?

We are fortunate to be able to send a 9″ single layer cake frosted and presented for shipping overseas to APO/ FPO addresses! The cakes are baked fresh,frosted and shipped immediately but the time frame once in military hands could be up to 10 days. We use innovative insulation and refrigerant products while packing the cakes and pies.Cakes have traveled to Iraq in 100 degree temperatures and have been enjoyed. In case of extreme summer heat it is best to refrigerate for about 30 minutes before cutting into the cake. When it is extremely hot we do take measures to preserve the integrity of the cakes to the best of our ability but it can be a challenge with temperatures soaring above 115 degrees.
