To copy more than one layer to a single destination layer you should display only the layers you want to copy and save the canvas under a different name. Then use the Load To Layer command from the File menu to load the previously saved canvas file to a single layer. Note: you will have load a multi-layer file into a single layer but this is only for convenience since all the layers and objects that exist in this file remain floating and can still be edited by loading the file normally. You can edit the Canvas file normally and any changes will be automatically updated in version of the file loaded as a single layer.
