I don’t think so, because they didn’t try to hide it and they took the baby to the doctor. With that said, if it happens again, if you have a relationship that you can discuss this with him maybe you should suggest that the beagle might not be suited for his home. I wouldn’t jump to DHS right away, but I’d point out that some breeds of dogs (no, I’m not just referencing pit bulls, I’m thinking of a dog we had growing up a Cocker Spaniel) aren’t great around kids. Our dog, Buffy, the cocker spaniel, wasn’t great with little kids, we would have to put him in a room our outside if our little cousins came over. He would almost always try to bite them if we didn’t. We had a huge backyard, part of it was set up for the dogs, there little own doggie playground. Seriously, my family treats the dogs better sometimes! I know they must be a loving family, they rescued a dog instead of running out and buying a puppy that could have been bred in a puppy mill.
