As of July 1, employees can only carry over 1 and 1/2 times their annual accrual. For those DUCOM employees earning 20 vacation days per year, the maximum number of vacation days they can carry over to the next year is now 30 — down from a maximum of 36. (This is a compromise, since Drexel employees used to be able to carry over only 20, and their number is being increased to 30.) If you had extra days in your “bank” on June 30, 2002, you still have those extra days in your bank today during this transition period. However, you have to use those extra days before December 31, 2002, since they will disappear that night.
