Chartered Architectural Technologists (MCIAT), are experts in Architectural Technology and are concerned primarily with the sound technical performance of buildings. They are specialists in building design and construction and can initiate and complete a building project from conception through to final certification. A large number of CIAT’s membership practise privately, or run businesses either as partners, LLP members or co-directors with other professionals. They can be involved in projects of all types such as commercial, industrial and residential, including adaptation, conservation, conversion, maintenance, management, new build or restoration. It is mandatory for all Members providing services directly to a client to obtain and maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance.
