I wish to download images from webpages so that I can view them. How do I do that using Lynx?
If your node has Lynx 2.6 or above, then it is really very easy to download images. When you are on a page from where you wish to download the image, press “”. This should reload your page with the “[Image]” as selectable areas that you can tab over to. You can now download this image by the download command. For Lynx 2-4, downloading images is rather more complicated. You first need to view the source code for the page by pressing “\”. On the source of the page, you need to find the reference to the image that you wish to download. The reference to the images are stored as ““. Note down the reference address and then using the Lynx command to go to a webpage enter the address of the image file. This will display a message that the file cannot be displayed and you will get an option to download the file.
