A. Eligible land that is classed as permanent pasture may be subject to an EIA before permission is granted for the application of calcified seaweed – if it is a semi-natural area or has not been cultivated within the last 15 years. You are advised to contact Natural England to discuss their circumstances and may need to make a screening application for an EIA. The EIA department can be contacted on 0800 028 2140, eia.england@naturalengland.org.uk or Natural England, Burghill Road, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, BS10 6NJ.
