The IRB is for human research only. Animal research projects are overseen by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) in much the same way that the IRB reviews and oversees human research. If you expect to do animal research in your Emphasis project, please contact the IACUC early in your planning to learn about requirements for training and project review.
