I will be away from Vancouver during the summer but I do need to register for Chinese courses on-line to secure a seat. What should I do regarding the placement interview?
In this case, you can use our “Placement Interview Guide” to do a self-evaluation for registration purpose. But you still have to go to a placement interview as soon as you can once you arrive at UBC. You should be reminded, however, if the result of the placement interview is different from your self-evaluation, you will have to follow the placement approval and give up your pre-registered course.
